Jennifer Wider's Bio
Jennifer Wider, M.D., is a physician, author, and radio host who specializes in women's health issues.
She is the author of three books, and has been frequently published in newspapers, magazines and Web sites across the country. Dr. Wider is the medical advisor of the Society for Women's Health Research,the nation's only non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health of all women through research, education and advocacy.
Dr. Wider has appeared as a health expert on The Today Show, CBS News, Good Day NY, FOX News and a variety of cable channels. She hosts a weekly segment on Sirius Satellite Radio called, "Paging Dr. Wider," for Cosmopolitan Magazine's radio channel, and has been heard on radio stations across the country. Her work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Minnesota Star Tribune, Cosmopolitan Magazine and SELF Magazine.
Wider currently writes a twice monthly column for the Society for Women's Health Research news service.
Dr. Wider is the author of "The Doctor's Complete College Girls' Health Guide: From Sex to Drugs to the Freshman 15," (Bantam Dell, 2006.) She co-edited, "The Savvy Woman Patient," (Capital Books, 2006) and authored a booklet for consumers entitled "Just the Facts: What Women Need to Know About Sex Differences in Health."
