Q: Where are You From?
Cambridge, Ontario
Q: Best Solo Escape
YMCA Gym
Q: Biggest Accomplishment you achieved on your own?
This may sound strange, but picking out colors for the walls and decorating my house. Being a guy it is not something I had to think about before.
Q: The best place to meet new people?
The only place I meet new people is the YMCA gym.
Q: Most Inspiring Book, Movie or Person?
The Alchemist, The Secret
Q: Funniest. Craziest, Worst Date Ever?
Craziest date, but also best date. I had left with more than enough time, but go figure, the highway is backed up for miles and miles. I arrive 45 minutes late, but thankfully she is still there, good thing for me. Intsead of flowers, I had gotten her the next book in the Harry Potter series after the one she was reading. We eat dinner she shares her shrimp, where I died nearly from being so clumsy and ended up shooting the shrimp onto to floor. After dinner, we go out for a drink, and when she pulls up beside me in the car, she has the music blaring louder than I did in my car. Unfortunately, she is the one who got away. I wish her well though.
Q: Favorite Local Restaurant or Bar to go to Solo?
Duke and Duchess Pub
Q: Have You Ever Been a Victim of Singlism?
It happens all the time. New Years Eve last year, at a party with friends, but being the only single person there, I ended up in the basement playing with all the kids ages 2 - 5 as it was more entertaining.
Q: Words to live by...
Don't worry about the things you can't control.
Q: What do you love most about being single?
Coming and going as I please. The witty side of me is saying: Higher insurance rates, going to movies by myself and cooking for one all the time..
Q: Got any tips, advice, funny or inspiring story?
Remember to laugh. It is healing, as well as funny. One of the best things that happened to me was watching Dan In Real Life. If you have seen it, the best part I laughed so hard I had tears and sore sides, was the shower scene. Hilarious. :)
