New Home for Old Tuxedos

Q:I have been an usher at least 12 times in my adult life. Needless to say, I have a closet full of suits and tuxedos that need to be unloaded. I know there are plenty of organizations which collect used dresses for prom aged young women and am wondering if anything similar exists for young men?

There are different organizations that will take those suits off your hands. "Clothes The Deal" is one such organization which was founded in 1995 by Ann Gusiff. This not for profit charity will take your old suits and hand them over to individuals who could really use them. Sometimes organizations such as "Dress for Success" and the "Princess Project" will gather tuxedos in addition to prom dresses, so it's worth inquiring.

Depending on your local area, I suggest you Google "Donate suits" or "Donating tuxedos." The results should help you find a local charity that will put your tuxedos to good use!
