Local love connector says 'Millionaire Matchmaker' Patti Stanger's move to New York 'disgusting'
Bravo's resident love connector, Patti Stanger, has set up shop in the Big Apple, and at least one resident Cupid isn't pleased with the "Millionaire Matchmaker's" presence.
"It's disgusting," sniffs Janis Spindel, the city's current premier - you guessed it - matchmaker.
"I'm the real millionaire matchmaker. When Bravo called me seven years ago to do a demo reel for a show, I said that's not how this business works."
Spindel says she has the goods to back up her smack talk: "Unlike Patti, I don't deal with 'gold diggers,' even though my men are of an astronomical worth. Celebrities, politicians, you name it. The kind of people who would never go on television. I have two of her former clients who are beyond angry with her."
The reality TV star, however, tells a different story.
"Janis Spindel works with normal guys and normal girls," laughs Stanger. "I take on a lot of celebrity clients. And a lot of them are my friends. It's hard finding love when you're in the spotlight, with the paparazzi.
